1. Introduction
Cristina DePina Interior Design LLC DBA Renoversity™ ("Company", "Renoversity™", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Renoversity™ online learning platform accessible at renoversity.com (the "Platform").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
  • Account information: First name, last name, and email address when you register
  • Billing information: Billing name and billing address for subscription records collected and processed by Stripe; your full card number is never transmitted to or stored by our servers
  • Course interactions: Quiz answers, tool data you save, notes, and other content you create within the Platform
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team, survey responses, and feedback you submit

What We Do NOT Collect
We want to be transparent about the personal data we do not collect:
  • Payment card data: Your full credit or debit card number, CVV, and expiration date are entered directly into Stripe's secure hosted fields and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only a masked card summary (e.g., Visa ending in 4242) from Stripe for display purposes.
  • Physical mailing address: We do not collect your home or mailing address beyond what may be optionally provided as a billing address to Stripe.
  • Phone number: We do not collect or store phone numbers.
  • Biometric data: We do not collect facial recognition data, fingerprints, voiceprints, or any other biometric identifiers.
  • Precise geolocation: We do not collect your GPS coordinates or precise physical location.
  • Social Security Number or government ID: We do not collect any government-issued identification numbers.
  • Health or medical information: We do not collect health data of any kind.

Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
  • Usage data: Pages visited, lessons viewed, quiz results, tool usage, time spent on content, and course progress
  • Device and browser data: Browser type and version, operating system, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), and screen resolution
  • Connection data: IP address (hashed and anonymized for privacy - we do not store raw IP addresses linked to your account), approximate region derived from IP at time of access
  • Referral and campaign data: How you arrived at the Platform (e.g., search engine, email link, social media, UTM campaign parameters)
  • Session data: An anonymous session identifier stored in a cookie to track your visit across pages before you log in

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide access to course content, tools, and Platform features
  • Process payments and manage your subscription or purchases via Stripe
  • Track and display your course progress and quiz results
  • Send transactional emails: account confirmations, receipts, password reset emails, and important account notifications
  • Send marketing and educational emails, including newsletters and promotional offers (you may opt out at any time)
  • Personalize your experience and recommend relevant content based on your progress and activity
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our courses, tools, and Platform features
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Comply with our legal obligations

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following categories of third parties:
  • Stripe (payment processing): We use Stripe to process all payments. Stripe receives your payment information and billing name/address directly through its secure hosted interface. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Mailtrap (email delivery): We use Mailtrap to send transactional and marketing emails. Your email address and first name are shared with Mailtrap for this purpose.
  • YouTube / Google LLC (video hosting): We embed YouTube videos for course content delivery. When you watch an embedded video, YouTube may collect data from your browser in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where available.
  • Analytics: We operate our own internal analytics system. We do not share personally identifiable data with any third-party analytics platforms.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not share your personal information with Brand Partners, sponsors, or Professional Collaborators for their marketing or commercial purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the Platform to function, including authentication session cookies and security tokens. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional cookies: Remember your preferences such as your logged-in state and content progress.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how the Platform is used and identify areas for improvement. These feed our internal analytics only - no third-party analytics platform.
  • Marketing cookies: Used to measure the effectiveness of promotional campaigns. You may opt out via your account notification settings.
  • You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality, such as keeping you logged in.

6. Your Privacy Rights
All Users
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Opt-out of marketing emails: Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or update your preferences in your account settings

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
  • Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain legal exceptions
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out is required, but you may contact us to confirm.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
To submit a California privacy rights request, email legal@renoversity.com or write to us at 1098A Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days, with one possible 45-day extension if needed.

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

  • Account and profile data: Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
  • Course progress and quiz data: Deleted with your account, except where retained in anonymized, aggregated form
  • Financial and billing records: Retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting laws
  • Support communications: Retained for 3 years from the date of the last communication
  • Anonymized usage analytics: May be retained indefinitely in aggregate, non-personally-identifiable form

8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at legal@renoversity.com.

9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:
  • Encryption of all data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
  • Secure, hashed storage of passwords (never stored in plain text)
  • IP address hashing — raw IP addresses are not stored linked to user accounts
  • Role-based access controls limiting which employees can access personal data
  • Regular security reviews of our systems and practices
  • PCI compliance maintained through our use of Stripe's hosted payment fields (we are not in scope for PCI DSS card data requirements)
  • No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information using commercially reasonable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach affecting Massachusetts residents, we will provide notification as required under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H.

10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, including YouTube and Brand Partner websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Renoversity™ Platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this Policy will be updated with each revision.
